
Lance Klusener is a South African All rounder left handed aggressive batsman and fast medium bowler. He is famous because of his all round performance in the 1999’s ICC World Cup. He starts his international career in 1996 against England. He played 49 test matches with a batting average of 32.86 and bowling average of 37.91. In One Day Internationals he played 171 matches with a batting average of 41.10 and bowling average of 29.95.
In ICC Cricket World Cup 1999 he scored over 250 runs with the help of two half centuries and took 17 wickets. Because of his all round effort South Africa won several close matches in 1999 World Cup one against Pakistan, which has one of the finest pace attack of the world at that time. Unfortunately, in World Cup semi final he was not able to bring South Africa home but still they did not lost the match and the match was tied. Australia goes into the final of World cup because of the better run rate and South Africa was out of the tournament. He received Man of the Tournament award in 1999’s World Cup because of his memorable all round performance.
